  • This hotel???? Two grades. The decoration of 380 I ordered at the beginning was very poor. The big bed room was actually a one meter five bed. Later, more than 600 beds were replaced, and the decoration was very new, 1.8 bedsBudget Queen Room

Travelogue

  • Living here on a business trip, balancing efficiency and relaxation perfectly

This time, we came to Xuhui, Shanghai to dock with the cultural and creative park project. We chose Hope Hotel Shanghai hidden in wutong District instead of chain hotels with high premium in Xujiahui Business District. I thought that the hotel in the old style area would fall off the chain of business facilities. After a week's stay, I found that it perfectly integrated the efficiency and appropriateness most needed for business travel and the unique relaxation of Xuhui into the streetscape set off by wutong.
Take Line 9 directly from Hongqiao Station to Zhaojiabang Road Station, exit from Exit 4 and walk for 5 minutes to reach the hotel. The entire 40 minute journey does not require any transfers, and you did not even step on the flooded road section on rainy days. The tall retro lobby was free of crowded people. It took only 3 minutes to check in. I learned that I would run to several cultural and creative parks on Hengshan Road and Huaihai Road in the next few days. The front desk actively marked three wutong paths to avoid congestion, which saved me at least 15 minutes of commuting time compared with the main road, and also conveniently blocked a guide note for surrounding 24-hour printing shops. The details eased the anxiety of multi site travel.
The administrative and business room I ordered completely met the needs of business travelers: the widened solid wood desk near the window was equipped with stroboscopic eye protection lamps, the gigabit network cable and 65W fast charging port were neatly arranged at the side of the desktop, instead of squatting under the bed to find a socket. Facing the wutong tree crown renovation project scheme outside the window, Siluo was much smoother than in the office building. In recent years, the intelligent upgrades have been restrained and practical, without unnecessary fancy decorations. The 24-hour constant temperature hot water output is stable and dense, and the customized spine protection mattress is soft and not collapsing. After staying up all night, taking a hot shower and lying flat can quickly relax the shoulders and neck that have been tense for two days. The most surprising thing is the double-layer soundproof windows, which almost completely filter out the sound of traffic on the street after being tightly closed. Even if you have to rush to the project PPT until 2am, you can still sleep soundly.
The next day's three party docking meeting was scheduled in the hotel's multifunctional conference hall. The day before, I only mentioned the need for dual screen synchronization of remote teams' screen casting. When I arrived, all equipment had already been debugged, and the supporting project data rack and hot and cold drinks were arranged in advance. Halfway through, 30 revised application materials need to be printed, and the business center can deliver the neatly bound materials to the venue in just 5 minutes, without interrupting the pace of negotiations. Busy until noon, having a light meal at the hotel's Chinese restaurant can finish authentic local cuisine in 20 minutes, saving at least half an hour compared to queuing in the surrounding commercial district.
After three consecutive days of project docking, I squeezed half an hour of leisure time and walked 10 minutes to wutong Road on Hengshan Road. I didn't have to take the time to run far. I walked twice in the wind, and most of my accumulated fatigue disappeared. The hotel's 24-hour self-service laundry room comes with a drying function, so formal clothes brought for business trips can be worn within two hours after washing, without worrying about changing laundry.
Throughout the entire journey, I hardly wasted any time on commuting or trivial matters. For those who run the Xuhui Docking Project all the year round, the good end result is never to build luxury and high priced houses, but to catch your work rhythm with proper supporting facilities, which can also give you a period of relaxation time hidden under the wutong tree in the cracks of continuous rotation. Next time I come to Xuhui for the docking project, I will definitely lock it in here directly. After all, it's really hard to find a hotel that can balance business efficiency and the atmosphere of old Shanghai so well.Show more

  • The old time was caught in the depths of wutong in Xuhui

Before I came to Shanghai, I always wanted to find an old hotel hidden in wutong District to avoid the crowded Bund and Nanjing Road. I accidentally selected Hope Hotel Shanghai beside Zhaojiabang Road. When I pulled my suitcase to open the door, the sound of traffic outside was suddenly cut off, and I found that the softest old days in wutong District of Xuhui were hidden here.
Take Line 9 from Shanghai Hongqiao Station to Zhaojiabang Road Station, walk out of Exit 4 for 5 minutes and stand at the door of the hotel. Looking up, the light brown old buildings are hidden in the thick shade of continuous wutong, and the wind is sweeping wutong leaves across the wall. Even the air is filled with the unique warmth of old Shanghai. The tall lobby lacks the crowded atmosphere of downtown hotels, the vintage crystal chandeliers leak warm light, and the old Shanghai landscape oil paintings hanging on the walls instantly take people back to decades ago. When the staff at the front desk handed over the room card, they smiled and reminded me that the observation deck on the top floor could see the whole wutong roof of Xuhui in the evening, so I could watch the sunset without going too far.
Open the door of the guest room in the high area, and the whole french window first hits the eye. At the foot is a continuous canopy of wutong trees. In the distance, the old western-style house spire on Hengshan Road looms in the clouds. Even the wind carries the clear fragrance of wutong leaves. The layout of the room is spacious and tidy, and recent renovations have not destroyed the texture of the old restaurant at all. The warm wooden furniture is matched with low saturation soft furnishings, and there is no excessive stacking of internet famous decorations, but there are comfortable details everywhere: the small tea table by the window is pre arranged with free local tea bags, and the 2-meter-wide large bed is covered with high count cotton bedding, which is soft and not collapsed when lying down. After a day of sightseeing, the exhaustion of lying down is mostly dissipated.
What surprised me most was the surrounding pedestrian circle. I hardly ever took a taxi when I lived here: walk downstairs for 3 minutes to the wutong Trail on Hengshan Road, walk slowly for 10 minutes to touch the business circle of Xujiahui, turn a corner for 15 minutes to the Shanghai Library, and even walk slowly along the wutong Road to Wukang Road. Every photo taken on the road has a unique tone of old Shanghai. In the evening, climbing up to the observation deck on the top floor, the entire red tiled roof of Xuhui unfolded before my eyes. The setting sun dyed the sky pink orange, and the city lights in the distance lit up one after another. I held a cup of old Shanghai soda that I had just bought, and even the time slowed down.
I didn't have to rush the trip during my stay. I got up in the morning and went to the alley to eat a bowl of hot Benbang noodles along wutong Road. In the afternoon, I spent half a day in the Shanghai Library. In the evening, I returned to the observation platform and waited for the sunset. When I was tired, I could turn back to the hotel and collapse at any time. There is no sense of clocking in deliberately created by the online celebrity hotel. Even the cleaning aunt will remind me with a smile when passing by that the old Dim sum shop in the nearby lane has just produced fresh meat moon cakes.
The day I left Shanghai, I stood at the door of the hotel and looked back. wutong leaves fell on the light brown steps, and the faint fragrance of osmanthus was still floating in the wind. It turns out that the most difficult thing to travel to Shanghai is not the expensive guest room that can see the river at a glance, but the small corner hidden in the depths of wutong that can let you slow down to catch the old time. Next time I come to Shanghai, I must go back to Hope Hotel Shanghai and walk along wutong Road on Hengshan Road again with the sunset on the top floor.Show more
